Liposuction

Liposuction removes localized, diet- and exercise-resistant fat deposits to refine body contour and improve proportion. At Essbé Beauté, it's most often planned within the Hourglass program, combining liposuction with EmSculpt Neo muscle toning, Aerolase skin refinement and curated skincare for one coordinated body-contouring plan.

What is liposuction?

Liposuction removes stubborn, localized fat deposits — often in the abdomen, flanks, thighs or arms — that persist despite diet and exercise. It's a body-contouring procedure, not a weight-loss treatment, refining shape rather than reducing overall body weight.

Who is a candidate?

You may be a candidate if you're at or near a stable, healthy weight, have good skin elasticity, and have localized fat deposits that haven't responded to diet and exercise. Liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss and is not intended to treat significant skin laxity, which may require a complementary procedure such as a tummy tuck or body lift. A Restore consultation with Dr. Guberman evaluates whether liposuction alone will meet your goals.

Long-term results

Treated fat cells are permanently removed; results are long-lasting provided weight remains stable.

Related Signature Program

Liposuction is the surgical foundation of the Hourglass Program, paired with EmSculpt Neo and Aerolase for waist-to-hip proportion. It's also a component of the T&T and Goddess programs, which combine liposuction with tummy tuck for patients pursuing broader transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is liposuction a weight-loss procedure?
No — liposuction contours localized fat deposits; it is not a substitute for diet, exercise or significant weight loss.

Will fat come back after liposuction?
Treated fat cells are permanently removed, though remaining fat cells can still expand with significant weight gain — maintaining a stable weight helps preserve results.

Can liposuction address loose skin?
Liposuction addresses fat, not skin laxity — patients with significant excess skin may benefit from a complementary procedure such as a tummy tuck, discussed during consultation.
